Would you like to be the driver of our local Health and Safety (HS) agenda, enabling our two production sites in Halland to reach Arla Foods’ Zero Loss ambition? This is an exciting new position and a high impact opportunity where you will be able to make a significant contribution as well as developing your professional and personal skills. Arla Foods is a global and growing organization where health and safety is at the very top of the agenda. You will be based at Kvibille dairy, which is a production site with a long tradition for producing high quality cheese such as cheddar and blue mould cheese. You also support our site in Falkenberg, which is Europe’s largest Cottage Cheese facility producing over 60 variants – their products ship to Northern Europe as well as export to countries all over the world. All milk at both sites origins from our farmers in Halland.

About the job
This role is accountable for delivering the global HS-agenda on the two sites, meaning you provide HS expertise and support locally to both management teams, all team leaders and safety officers. You will grow a large network on the sites, with HS colleagues in Sweden as well as globally. Thereby your success depends on your people and relationship management abilities. On a day to day basis you are the subject matter expert and provide operational support and advice, you do process confirmations and work on continuous improvement within the HS area. On a tactical and strategic level you break down the global strategy by planning and delivering local initiatives, you set local actions to drive risk reduction and you secure the right organizational competences. You are the initiator and the gate keeper who ensures our local HS-processes and ways of working are aligned, improved, implemented and anchored to give way to the achievement of Zero Loss ambition.
This role will report to the Senior Site Manager Kvibille with a dotted line to the organization in Falkenberg. You will have tight co-operations with both QEHS teams locally, as well as with the global QEHS organization. You will split and spend your time approximately 60/40 between Kvibille and Falkenberg. You are structuring site HS plans and your own work, taking responsibility for an efficient utilization of your time, ensuring deliveries and deadlines are met at both sites.


Other responsibilities include:
-Securing the systematic local work environment process and work.
-Owner and driver of local HS agendas and forums to foster a culture of HS excellence.
-Ensure compliance and improvements towards legal requirements, company policies, global and local HS standards where you also follow up and support any escalated HS related incidents.
-Monitoring and targeting HS performance, perform root cause analysis and lead co-creation of local improvement plans and activities to address performance or compliance issues [eg frequency rates, near miss ratios, compliance deviations, corrective action deviations].
-Monitor Swedish existing, forthcoming and new HS legislation news and ensure we meet regulatory requirements.
-Project manager and guiding support on HS investigations, risk analysis, process confirmation, evaluations and projects within the HS agenda.
-Prepare site communications around HS agenda, initiatives, plans and results.
-Secure and coordinate organizational competencies and initiatives on HS with relevant stakeholders.

You are intellectual with the analytical power to handle complexity, and are able to work at both operational and strategic levels. You have the ability and track record of successfully driving change, influencing and empowering management teams and leaders. Your qualifications
Ideally you have worked within a food manufacturing, maintenance, warehousing environment, (preferably food production/drinks/dairy).
Sound knowledge of Swedish HS regulatory and industry requirements.
Experience of Swedish work environment frameworks and legislation.
Understanding and experience of working with behavioral safety and cultural development programs.
Change management competencies including communication and presentation skills
Understanding of ISO 14001 / 18001
Analytical skills - understanding of statistics and how to interpret
You have some leadership or project manager experience -leading leaders and motivating employees.
It is a plus if you have experiences with LOTO implementation
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and a quick learner of IT systems in general
You communicate effortlessly in Swedish and English (business language)
