Site Purchaser
The purpose of the Purchasing Organization is to provide value and reliable performance in the sourcing and purchase of products, components and services for all business purposes to Thule Group.
The Purchasing Organization will maintain a competitive yet long-term, transparent and fair sourcing environment.
As Site Purchaser at Thule Group you will be the main point of contact for your dedicated supplier base, driving all supplier related communication as well ensuring supplier development in general including cost development, delivery performance and sustainability. You will assure that category purchasing strategies are implemented at supplier base and set the direction, the right prioritization and co-ordinate the purchasing team supplier agenda in terms of cost and logistics, in close collaboration with the SQA function who covers quality.
The responsibilities will also include:
- Driving commercial negotiations and agreement settlements with suppliers in alignment with our category purchasing strategies.
- Supporting and securing new product development projects on the factory floor at suppliers.
- Feeding and challenging the development projects with new technology- and material innovation opportunities from the supplier base.
- Contributing to the development of category purchasing strategies by giving input of ongoing activities at supplier base.
Your profile
This hands-on role requires someone who is equally operational and strategic, able to easily navigate and integrate purchasing, operations management and product management. Our ideal candidate is a great team player – passionate about doing business and developing strategies, holds excellent project management skills and is considered to be a true “doer”. We expect you to have an academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Supply Chain Management as well as experience and proven success from operational and/or tactical sourcing in an international environment. Proficiency in Swedish and English is a given.
