Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Site Purchasing Manager to join our passionate and rapidly growing team in Skellefteå.
Sustainability is our mission: we are establishing a robust ecosystem for battery recycling in order to close the loop for Lithium-ion batteries- this is Revolt.
We plan to significantly grow in the next few years while we establish a complete infrastructure for battery recycling in Europe and this will require a strong focus on procurement of equipment, materials and services.
Today we have a recycling pilot plant in Västerås to demonstrate our process solution, we are starting a recycling hub in Norway and building a full-scale recycling plant in Skellefteå that will be fully operational in 2023 to secure a goal of 50% recycled material in new cells Northvolt will produce by 2030.
In this role you will be responsible for managing an effective and efficient procurement of all supplies, materials and services for the operations of the recycling plant in Skellefteå (Revolt Ett) building a close cooperation with suppliers and leveraging on synergies with the other Northvolt businesses.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
You will be the Single Point of Contact for procurement activities related to operations in Revolt Ett plant, starting from the coordination and support of supplier’s activities on-site during installation and commissioning phases in 2022
You will define optimal sourcing and tactical procurement strategies for all operations-related categories (MRO, spare parts and other equipment-related, facility services, other indirect materials and services) and plan and execute sourcing activities, leveraging synergies and cooperating with the other Northvolt teams
You will also coordinate procurement activities for any additional minor investment after SOP (minor additions and upgrading of equipment) in Revolt Ett plant, collaborating with the Revolt category Purchasing Specialists.
You will negotiate and manage contracts and agreements, including SLA, Inventory Management agreements, etc. ensuring contractual compliance and supplier performance

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
A degree or a MSc/MBA in Business/Operations/Engineering or related study with a strong interest and career path in manufacturing environments with technical content
Working experience of more than 5 years in Supply Chain Management/ Procurement/ Operations roles in manufacturing industry
Excellent knowledge of end-to-end procurement process, including procurement planning and operational excellence
Experience in negotiation of commercial and contractual terms & conditions
Excellent English written and oral skills, other languages are a plus
