Site Purchasing Specialist

Northvolt is looking for a Site Purchasing Specialist.
The Site Purchasing Specialist is responsible for one or several materials/components/ processing materials supporting the Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations in the corresponding site and applying the category strategy.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Commodity Strategy: with support from management and colleagues, build the sourcing strategy of a commodity together with the technical team.
Sourcing Plan: with support from management and colleagues, support the Sourcing Plan developed by Project Purchasing to support the specific Cell Program, and in line with Commodity Strategy and specific conditions of the Cell Program
Panel activity: Build and develop the list of candidate suppliers with engineering counterpart for specific sourcing activities
Sourcing activity: Fine tunes and Executes the Request for Information, Request for Quotation to the candidates suppliers, collaborates with the technical local team to evaluate the ssupplier's proposals and negotiate the contracts
Recommends or makes supplier choice: in accordance with Delegation of Authority’s rules after validation from Purchasing Process
Cost reduction activity: with support from management and other colleagues, manage the reviews of Value Engineering and cost reduction progress for Northvolt, and takes all-necessary actions for the achievement of commitment/target levels
Supplier management: Manages meetings for the Northvolt’ suppliers of his/her scope to review the overall performance of the supplier, and takes all-necessary actions for the achievement of commitment/target levels. Understand where to escalate and involve management.
Monitor the suppliers’ capacities and coordinates internal stakeholders and supplier to anticipate and overcome supply crisis, in coordination with technical team
Understands and deploys MRO Purchasing Processes, Milestones, Reviews, Reporting Dashboards, aligned with Northvolt Purchasing principles, Northvolt Quality Management System, and company strategy. Comes with recommendations where sees room for improvement.
