About the role
The Site Reliability Engineer is part of our small operations team that maintains high performance and uptime. In this role you will take responsibility for keeping the service's uptime to a maximum, through automation, management and monitoring, as well as building pipelines, distributing releases and working with Infrastructure As Code. You do not have to be an expert today, but certainly have the will to become one, and we will help you achieve that goal through internal and external expert support.
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work with everything from capacity planning and maintenance of the systems, to exploring new technologies and creating services that our development teams can use to deliver new functions quickly, safely and efficiently as part of the service.
About you
To successfully resolve the challenges that you and your team face, you need to have experience in network fundamentals and security, working with IP addressing and basic routing, and understanding of VPNs and SSL/TLS with SNI. You need some coding experience, and experience working with Java, Bash, and/or Python is advantageous. Knowledge and experience of Kubernetes, Istio, Gitlab, Terraform, The ELK stack and Prometheus are meritorious. We believe that Docker containers and Linux are already a part of your everyday life, and that you use it in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS or GCP. In addition, we see it as meritorious with experience from programming in Java or Python.
