Position description
We are looking for a Site Safety and Coordination Manager of Volvo Group Trucks Technology, together with colleagues, ensure safe work environmental conditions in our workshops, test rigs and other facilities. This to create a safe workplace and to ensure that we work in accordance with the Swedish Working Environment Act (Arbetsmiljölagen).
You will be positioned in the TS&E (Technical Safety & Environment) team within the section Workshops and Rigs in Complete Vehicle, GTT at site Lundby. The team consists of six skilled members with deep knowledge in various fields of expertise.
As Group Trucks Technology is the biggest entity at site Lundby we are responsible to coordinate that working environment risks that arise at site are identified and addressed together with all other functions. You will work with all areas of site coordination including risk assessments, defining responsibilities, identifying high-risk jobs, establishing communication paths, safety routines and safety standards. This will give you opportunity to learn about, work together with and create networks in a lot of other Volvo functions.
Essential skills and needed work experience
University degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years work experience within the field of work environment
Very good ability to communicate and collaborate
Fluent in English and Swedish both written and spoken
Experience from R&D, production environment, construction work or similar is an advantage
Knowledge of fuel cells and batteries is an advantage
