Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics, Industrial Operations Asia. The project is well on its way to starting the establishment and it is high time to start setting up the local organisation. In alignment with this industrial development, we need to build a team responsible for security operations, and are now looking for a Site Security Manager.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced security professional, who wants to join our team in a period of change, development, and challenges. If you have broad experience operating in diversified, large organisations with a proven record as a team player and are a challenging as well as supporting leader - you could be the person we are looking for!

Position
The position is placed within the Public Affairs area (within Industrial Operations Asia) which also contains governmental relations, ISO/COP certification, sustainability, legal department, and product certification. Reporting to the VP and head of Public affairs. The position is an assignment for 3 years with the purpose to build up the site security function. Employment conditions are to be discussed but with a high presence on-site in China, possibly with placement in China.

Your Role & the Team
The mission for this position is to lead the security operations within Industrial Operations Asia regarding Security (asset, protective, physical, personnel, fire, nathaz, infosec, crisis, etc) according to central policies and guidelines and relevant legislation. The industrial establishment in China Rugao is in the project phase during 2023 and 2025, this role will contribute during this time period (or longer depending on the situation) and develop a local successor. 
Depending on the situation, there is a need for frequent trips to China or stationed in China.

You will be responsible for:  


• Develops plans and policies: Designs, proposes, and implements security plans, guidelines, and procedures within broad principles and policies set by the organization to meet security requirements supporting short and long-term business needs.
• Advises managers and ensures compliance: Advises management on government regulations relating to security and recommends necessary action to attain compliance. Recommends changes to procedures, standards, and use of equipment.
• Manages Security projects: Oversees projects for existing and potential security concerns and recommends resolution.
• Manages stakeholders and performs needed reporting: Prepares reports and participates in representation with outside agencies.
• Continuous Development: Continuously contribute to the improvement of ways of working, processes, and procedures within own team, department, and area of responsibility.
• Expertise & Knowledge Management: Develop and expand business and expert knowledge within own team, department, and area of responsibility. Maintains working knowledge of current regulations.

As a manager your tasks will include for example:


• Establish and maintain an organisation for the task with its own staff and external resources
• Ensuring that decided security measures are established and maintained
• Ensuring that security-related incidents are performed and reported
• Ensure that relevant educational and training activities are done for own staff and other personnel incl. consultants, entrepreneurs, etc.
• Regularly report the status of security work in terms of done, ongoing and planned activities
• Responsible for security budget
• Escalate questions as needed regarding priorities and resources, clarifications, guidelines, processes, etc.

Your profile
You are comfortable working in an organisation under build-up, where not everything is in place, you have a strategic mindset, and like to take initiative and lead teams to fast and efficiently solve problems and deliver results. 

As a person, you are engaged, solution-oriented, and like a high pace. You have courage, take great responsibility and have a good ability to develop and maintain a wide network of contacts at all levels. 

You have a university degree, and least 10 years of experience working as a security manager, and vast knowledge within the security area. Aptitude in leadership and the ability to build structure and a sense of coherence for your employees are essential as well as being a true team player.
