Arbetsbeskrivning

Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

What´s in it for you?
We are offering a fun and challenging opportunity in our team within Supplier Quality Management.  In this role as Supplier Quality Management Engineer, you will get to be involved in all phases of the Volvo Cars supplier business, from project phases and all the way to running production and aftermarket!

You will be the one who leads and guides suppliers to take ownership of their Quality & Delivery performance deliveries and you will be a key player in managing supplier site readiness, performance and development activities within the Software & Electronics area.
Your main responsibility is to secure supplier readiness in projects and challenge suppliers to continuously improve their Quality & Delivery performance to Volvo plants in running production. This will be done in close collaboration together with our colleagues within the Global Category Team and Procurement Plant Team.

You will work in a global environment and will therefore get to travel a lot as frequent travelling to supplier sites will be required and is a part of the job!

This role truly gives you the opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth in a meaningful way and at the same time own personal and professional development.

Are we a match?
To succeed in this role, you have a Technical University degree (or equivalent). It is meritorious if you have experience from Quality and/or Engineering work including Supplier Quality performance assurance or experience from working with supplier quality assurance tools and processes (SEMAT, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D etc.), however this is not a requirement. You are fluent in English, written and spoken.

Experience is important, but personality is key! The mobility industry is changing rapidly, and the competitive environment and our company’s strategy might change fast. Therefore, we are not only valuing your previous experience and competencies but also your personality and your passion to develop and embrace unknown future challenges and business set up.

We believe that you are someone prestige less, are courageous and curious. You take ownership for your area of responsibility and are goal oriented. You enjoy collaborating with others, internally as well as externally, and just like us, you are a team player who is honest, open and supportive! Furthermore, you have high self-drive and enjoy and promote pro-active work and mind-set as well as understanding the importance of sense of urgency for solving disturbances caused by our suppliers.

Most important is that you share our values, truly believe in and are motivated by our purpose and have an honest ambition to join a dynamic team that is deeply committed to transforming and progressing the consumer experience in the mobility industry at a global scale.
