The Industrial IT department (TEI) is responsible for the management of the IT portfolio within Production & Logistics (P&L) and to develop IT strategies aligned to the P&L global business strategies. We also have the responsibility for automation and control system architecture as well as the tools for the digital factory. TEI is a department within Global Industrial Development (TE).
TEI is supporting the following processes; order, planning, logistics, assembly, machining and product introduction.
The Smart Factory Coordinator is a member of the Industrial IT team. In this role, you are responsible for maintenance and development of Scania's strategies for the "Smart Factory", to follow the trends in the industry and to represent Scania in relevant industry networks and research communities.
Job description
Your main task will be to support Scania's production and logistics with the above described tasks. You will also take part in the development of the internal processes of TE and TEI.
In your role as Smart Factory Coordinator you will lead or participate in the following activities:
.Coordinate Smart Factory related activities within P&L
.Building internal and external networks for the Smart Factory an related domains such as Maintenance, Logistics and Industrial IT
.Contributing to the work on Scania's roadmap for the Smart Factory
.Active participation in relevant research projects in cooperation with universities and external partners. Current projects are the Tweeting Factory and the Tweeting Machine tool
.Represent Scania in the research cluster for Digital Manufacturing
.Analyses and monitoring of trends in the manufacturing industry.
Mainly done through external visits to other companies and participation in industry fairs
.Management of the Smart Factory Competence Group
.P&Ls contact person in the Data Science Forum
Your profile
You have a university degree or equivalent. As a person you are structured, organized and have extensive communication skills. Furthermore you are open-minded and receptive to new influences and ideas. You are also service-minded and available for the organization in order to deal with many different questions.
You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge in German language is an advantage.
