Your role

Special Mission and Regional Aircraft (SMRA) are responsible for aircraft modifications of special mission aircrafts as well as support solutions for Saab 340 and 2000 aircrafts. As SMRA Quality Manager, you will the Point of Contact for the overall quality work within the department.

The SMRA Quality Manager reports on quality related activities at the SMRA management team meeting on a regular basis, i.e. status on quality issues and goals, performed lessons learned, upcoming quality audits etc. Coordination is essential with the Business Unit Quality manager as well as NPH (nominated post holder) roles within our airworthiness permits. You will be part of the BU Quality forum.

Within SMRA, there are a number of different quality roles, i.e. Project Quality Managers, Design Quality Engineers, Supply Quality Engineers and Production Quality Engineers. You will have the responsibility to coordinate this group to secure gaps and improvements in the overall quality work. Part of this is to set up and drive a Quality forum for the different quality roles within the SMRA organization as well as work to define and clarify the quality responsibilities within the organization.

As the departments quality manager you will also have the responsibility of "line related" quality activities, i.e.

SMRA PDF report and management review

Secure internal way-of-working with quality errands

Secure way-of-working with lessons learned
*

Support Quality management on BU level
*

Coordinate and prepare within SMRA for DNV revisions
*

Clarify SMRA interfaces towards PM&T organizations

As SMRA Quality Manager, you will be part of the section Operations Support where you will meet experienced people working with Quality, Risk and Opportunity, Business Improvement and various other tasks. It is an engaged group of peers all devoted to improving the business continuously.



Your profile

To succeed in this role you need to have good leadership abilities and like working in a matrix organization with many interfaces and complex issues. You need to be able to build a good network and work close to other quality roles making sure we do what is best for our business and products.

An Engineering Master's degree in quality management and/or relevant work experience within quality management is required. Experience in complex organizations/projects with many interfaces is a plus.

You are familiar with quality management work and tools. You have experience working with quality management systems and standards i.e. EN-9100 and ISO-9001.

You need to be strict enough to make sure we follow requirements and regulations, but with a solution focused mindset to ensure that we move forward.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
