Snowmobile- and ice dome guides to Tromso Ice Domes

We are currently looking for guides to join our team in northern Norway for the upcoming winter season of Dec 1, 2020 - Mar 31, 2021.


As an ice dome guide your primary task will be to guide groups of tourists inside the ice hotel. You will also take our overnight guests out snowshoeing in the evening to look for northern lights and to cook them dinner over an open fire in the snow. Maintenance work in the ice hotel is part of your daily routine as well as being a host for the guests and help serving meals.

As a snowmobile guide your job will be to welcome guests from the bus, get them dressed for the cold, explain how to drive and take them out driving in the nature. Easier fixing of the snowmobiles and maintenance work in the ice hotel is also part of your daily routine. Snowmobile experience is a necessity.

As a person, you should be flexible and social, able to talk to bigger groups. All guided tours are in English and if you know another language it will probably be very useful since we have guests from all over the world. Knowledge in following subjects is a plus: nature, viking history, outdoor life, Scandinavian- and Sami culture.

Our working environment is always below freezing, so people who do not like the cold might want to think twice before applying.

The employment is hourly with an average of 40 hours per week. Some weeks more and some less. We offer the possibility to rent a room.

Having a car of your own is recommended since the location of the ice hotel is 1,5 hours away from Tromso which is the biggest nearest city.
