Do you want to develop advanced silicon, software, systems, and models for the leading-edge mobile telecommunication systems? And be involved in making 5G happen?
The Digital ASIC and FPGA sector at Ericsson is responsible for the development of Digital SoC (System-on-Chip) including ASIC and FPGA for all existing and future mobile standards. The development is done in close cooperation with internal and external partners such as standardization teams and market-leading silicon vendors and ASIC Design houses. We are working with state-of-the-art Silicon-technologies, EDA tools and methodologies.
We are looking for an SoC Architect and IP System Lead for Fronthaul and CPRI interface (Common Public Radio Interface) that can drive systemization of our Digital ASIC and FPGAs in our Kista-based team. This position reports to head of System & Architecture within Digital ASIC & FPGA organization.
You will
Be responsible for architecture design and systemization of Fronthaul and CPRI interfaces and their functional blocks and subsystems
Drive the IP program area development by IP generation and feature roadmap work, pre-development studies, technical analysis, and collaboration with related standardization activities
Lead the requirement definition, break-down and statement-of-compliance work, and create system solutions in implementation sketch or implementation proposals
Support design team during development, verification, and validation of the design
Continuously improve and optimize ways of working
Generate and maintain appropriate documentation
You will bring
Master´s Degree or PhD in Electronic Engineering or equivalent education is preferred
Proven experience in advanced SoC development
Good knowledge of ASIC technology, ASIC design environment and design methodology
Knowledge of radio access system and their components
Knowledge of high-speed interfaces, e. g. DDR, CPRI, Ethernet, JESD204
Track record of successful cross-team and cross-site cooperation
Quality consciousness
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of mobile communication standards is an advantage – 3GPP
Knowledge across several industry-standard interfaces such as I3C, SPI, SGMII, etc
Knowledge of signal processing algorithms and modeling in Matlab or C++
Knowledge of embedded CPUs and their IPs
