Your responsibilities

In this role in Product Development IT, you work on the edge between business and technology and will support the Scania R&D users and business. Our team's goal is to create and operate a top-notch Requirement Management Tool, based on Siemens Polarion ALM. We are looking for someone who can work with the Embedded toolchain development and operations. You will be hands-on developing, but also help to refine requirements with the different Product owners and scrum masters. You are also driving improvement work and adding new functionality needed, like java plug-ins and reports.

You will work with Siemens Polarion, but also train juniors, and work together with the architects and method specialists within embedded software development, the vendor and other IT teams. The Polarion IT team is very diverse in many aspects and we expect you to embrace and utilize that power naturally.

To be successful in this role you are self-going, communicative and have good social ability. You are a Java developer and a structured, supportive person by nature, with a passion and understanding of end-users and their business. Guiding and developing the team you find both inspiring and rewarding. You have energy and you think and breathe agile, have the courage to challenge existing ways of working and being creative in how you test these ideas. 

We also believe you;


• Have an academic education or can show you reached that level through experience. Additionally, you have at least 3-4 years of previous development experience in Embedded SW development, product development and/or requirement management.
• Know Siemens Polarion and you have broad experience developing with Java, JavaScript, Python, velocity or similar.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and SW tool integration work is an advantage.
• Have a strong user-centric mindset and are fascinated by how technology can unlock people’s productivity.
• Master English fluently in both speaking and writing. Knowing Swedish is an advantage.
