Are you a skilled DevOps Developer with a strong background in Java/Python Coding, along with a proven track record of at least 4-5 years in both those fields? In this role in Product Development IT, you work on the edge between business and technology and will support Scania R&D users and business. Our team's goal is to create and operate top-notch global Embedded development and Cybersecurity Tools, some based on the Siemens Polarion ALM application on UNIX servers (Both on-prem and cloud). Others are own-developed applications in Python and AWS. You will play a crucial role in globalizing our development and operations teams to work seamlessly, delivering high-quality software and services to our customers. Guiding and developing the team you find both inspiring and rewarding. You have energy and you think and breathe agile, have the courage to challenge existing ways of working and are being creative in how
you test these ideas.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for someone who help professionalize the Embedded toolchain development and operations in our teams. You will be hands-on operating, deploying and testing the platforms, but also help our different Product owners and developers to create a lean global development platform.You are also supporting the team with improvement work and adding new back-end and infra/cloud functionality. You will be our new DevOps specialist, train our developers, and work together with the architects and method specialists within embedded software development. Of course, you will be involved in discussions with the vendor and other IT teams. Our IT team is truly diverse in many
aspects, and we expect you to embrace and utilize that power naturally.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you are self-going, communicative and have a great social ability. You like to share your knowledge and to drive improvement work. You are an experienced DevOps Engineer WITH a development background. We love your help to enhance and maintain our continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our systems.

We also believe you;

Have an academic education or can show you reached that level through experience. Additionally, you have at least 4-5 years of previous development AND DevOps experience in product development and/or requirement management. As a DevOps developer in our team, you will play a crucial role in enabling our development and operations teams to work seamlessly, delivering high?quality software and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:


• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, leveraging your Java and Python skills for automation. Optimize Global system performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify areas for process
improvement.
• Implement and manage infrastructure both on-prem and in AWS.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide prompt support to resolve technical problems. Monitor and analyze system performance and respond to incidents.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system improvement.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS cloud formation templates, but also traditional server, dB, network, Shell script and Unix skills are nice to have.
• A strong user-centric mindset and fascinated by how technology can unlock people’s
productivity.
• Master English fluently in both speaking and writing. Knowing Swedish is an advantage.
