Arbetsbeskrivning
Avalanche Studios Group is expanding, and we’re creating more fun stuff than ever! But not all that awesomeness is visible to the outside world. So we’re now looking to grow our Communications team with a talented Social Media & Content Manager who can help us tell our unique and inspiring story. You’re encouraged to use generous helpings of moose gifs and explosion emojis in this noble pursuit.
As Social Media & Content Manager, you’ll collaborate with different teams around a wide range of company-wide activities. You’ll work with marketing teams from our three creative divisions to amplify their projects, as well as the People, Talent Acquisition, and Location teams in Stockholm, New York, Malmö, and Liverpool. This role is all about coming up with storytelling opportunities and making them sing, rather angelically, in tune with our brand voice.
Your goal will be to showcase our culture, values, and recruitment efforts across all available channels. As Social Media & Content Manager, you’ll own the social media calendar and will be a stakeholder in our Communications team. You’ll work closely with other talented communications professionals, and will be able to routinely exchange knowledge and experiences.
To succeed, we think you’re a friendly, low-ego person with a knack for clear and clever copy. You’re used to meeting deadlines, working in data-driven ways, and creating independently while contributing to the team’s goals. You’ll also need to know your way around the Adobe suite of programs so you can contribute to our art and video assets.
What you’ll do
- Identify storytelling opportunities, collaborate with stakeholders, and draft inspiring short-form copy to drive brand awareness and affinity.
- Own and populate the social media calendar as you plan activities throughout the year to correspond with events, releases, and more.
- Familiarize yourself with, and internalize, our written tone of voice.
- Evaluate relevant technologies and keep up with cultural movements as you suggest new and innovative ways for us to express ourselves on social media.
- Write occasional long-form copy for the company website, guest blogs, and industry press.
- Plan and create visual assets that complement our written messaging.
- Routinely measure results, present them to stakeholders in a digestible format, and course-correct when needed.
Who you are
- You have 2+ years of social media management experience.
- You’re a talented writer who can adapt to our brand voice when given relevant guidance. We write exclusively in English, so an understanding of Swedish is not required.
- You have a keen interest in gaming and pop culture in general.
- You’re friendly, collaborative, and low-ego. We’re a small team, so we frequently lend each other a helping hand, even outside of our areas of expertise or responsibility.
- You have experience using Sprout Social or a similar social media management platform.
- You’re curious, creative, and have an interest in social media platforms and other avenues for storytelling. You’re always looking for smarter ways to work that will help the team reach their full potential.
- You’re proactive and have a clear sense of ownership. You’ll be given a lot of creative freedom and autonomy, while you contribute to the team’s overarching goals.
Does this sound like you? Even bits and pieces of it? Congrats on being a very promising candidate! We’d love to meet you.
The nitty gritty
As our Social Media & Content Manager, you’ll report to the Director of Brand Communications, and work alongside our Head of Internal Communications. This is a full-time position in our Stockholm studio, and we offer flexible work arrangements where you can spend part of your time remotely. We take individual competence growth seriously, so we offer opportunities to continuously increase your potential.
Our values
At Avalanche Studios Group, we believe in worlds beyond limits, and we’re committed to developing a diverse and inclusive workplace. All Avalanchers have a shared responsibility to create an open work environment where everyone is treated equally and respectfully. Being part of our world is not contingent on where you’re from, your gender, or sexual orientation. It’s all about your passion and creativity.
The location
Our Stockholm office is situated in Södermalm, the beating heart of the city’s game industry. It’s a physical representation of our games - the lush vegetation of Just Cause and theHunter: Call of the Wild meets corroded metal straight out of Mad Max.
