Communication and digital technologies are one key element, among several, for a successful realization of the ongoing transformation. Scania’s Communications Department operates globally towards several key stakeholders. We are now recruiting a talented and passionate Social Media Manager to enhance and evolve our presence in digital channels even further.
The role
The Social Media Manager will be working closely with Scania’s presence in social media globally and will belong to a team currently consisting of ten people with both strategic and operational tasks within marketing communication, editorial communication, social media and online strategy. The role includes both strategic and operational responsibility and requires knowledge in the mechanics of social buying and audience targeting, as well as an analytical sense and an understanding for the correlation between different content pieces, different channels and different target groups. The Social Media Manager will also be working with coordinating activities and support towards Scania's network of social media editors around the world. All in all, we want to make sure Scania’s presence in social media strengthens both our business and brand awareness.
Core responsibilities include:
• Setting paid media spread strategies for product launch campaigns, lead generation and awareness assignments
• Hands-on setting up and optimizing advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google
• Working towards improved social media presence globally
• Turning social media analytics data into recommendations for optimizing paid media campaigning, content production and overall social media activities.
• Coordinating /supporting and educating the network of online editors globally in social media and paid activities
• Working with external agencies and partners for social media strategies, paid campaigns and content production
Your profile
You have extensive work experience from:
• Working with social media on a strategic and operational level preferably from larger corporations, B2B or B2C
• Setting paid social media strategies as well as digital marketing and advertising on an operational level
• Interpreting communication assignments and how to convert them into social media communication for different target groups in different channels
• Working with external suppliers
• Experience in complex organizational structures and simultaneously coordinating different projects
• Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English / Swedish
Education
• You have an academic degree or similar, in media or marketing communication.
