Job Summary
An exciting opportunity opens within Sustainability. We are looking for a Social Sustainability Manager, who will have a key role in developing and implementing Tetra Pak's Social Sustainability Framework, anchored in our human rights due diligence process.

In Social Sustainability, we develop the human rights due diligence process, collaborating with multiple business areas and markets to assess risks to people across the value chain and to develop action plans to prevent and address the most severe issues. You will be one of Tetra Pak’s subject matter experts in business and human rights.
The position is permanent, based in Lund, Sweden, or another Tetra Pak office, preferably in the EMEA time zone, and will include some travelling. You will be reporting to the Social Sustainability Director, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability & Communications.
What you will do
You will be part of the Tetra Pak central organization, responsible for supporting the implementation of the Social Sustainability Framework. As part of a newly-established team, you will work closely with the Social Sustainability Director to set up a robust human rights due diligence process to proactively identify and address risks to people across the value chain. Collaboration with colleagues across various business areas and markets, customers, suppliers and civil society stakeholders will be a critical part of this role.
Focus areas:
Take the lead in driving Tetra Pak's Human Rights Due Diligence process in several business areas
Provide human rights expertise, insights and training to teams responsible for implementation of the human rights due diligence process.
Develop and deploy human rights risk assessment, action planning and KPI development tools and help align market-based CSR projects.
Undertake research on issues, contexts, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders' human rights processes and impacts in preparation for engagement on Social Sustainability challenges.
Develop relationships with external stakeholders that can support the implementation of Tetra Pak's Social Sustainability strategy.
We believe you have
You have a relevant university degree. You will have knowledge and expertise in the implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and/or specific human rights issues through your work in a business, consultancy, trade association, civil society organisation, Government or international institution. Excellent written and verbal English skills are essential, since we operate on a global basis.
You are very good at building relationships with a variety of stakeholder groups across multiple geographies. Desk and qualitative research skills will be important to you in this role, as will the ability to communicate complex ideas in clear, engaging and persuasive ways.
You will be motivated by the idea of driving rights respecting business practice, while recognising that collaboration, compromise and pragmatism are key elements in delivering sustainable change.
