Job description
We are looking for an experienced Social Sustainability Manager with a deep understanding of social sustainability and human rights on the global arena.
You will work closely with other corporate functions and our global organisation to support and coordinate our responses to opportunities and perils associated with our journey toward sustainable development. You will together with the organisation develop approaches and solutions resonating with Scania’s decentralised organisation and ways of working. You will collaborate with colleagues in the TRATON group as well as Volkswagen AG. You will be part of the Scania Group Sustainability team, consisting of 3-5 dedicated and experienced employees, who are specialists in different areas of Sustainability. The group is led by the Head of Sustainability. This position belongs to the function Communications and Sustainability.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
Lead the work to set the corporate agenda within the area of social sustainability and human rights, by identifying our priorities short, mid, and long term through a comprehensive stakeholder analysis
Lead a cross-functional network of representatives engaged in addressing social sustainability and human rights and foster an impactful way of working
Ensure group-wide implementAation of the agenda and support the organisation in their setup to tackle social sustainability and human rights issues
Be a centre of competence in developing messaging and content to enable a step change making human rights and social sustainability an integral part of internal and external sustainability communication
Be a centre of competence in developing the Scania Annual and Sustainability reports as well as quarterly reports and other communication material
Follow, analyse and translate stakeholder expectations and requirements in the area of social sustainability and human rights, including its connection to the climate transformation journey, to the Scania organisation
Support Scania's top management with expertise and advise, including how to navigate diverging expectations on the global level
Engage in dialogue with key stakeholders and peer companies and represent Scania externally in partnerships, initiatives, etc.
Cooperate with relevant stakeholders within the Traton group

What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree or above within relevant area
At least 5 years of experience in the field of Social Sustainability and/ or human rights
Experienced project manager
Experienced working preferably within or with large global corporations
Experienced in setting up and leading cross-functional initiatives and processes
Excellent English, both written and oral skills
