Siemens, the leading grid software company, is growing its grid software team in the Nordics, and seeking a talented and experienced Sales Manager to drive sales and business development activities in the Nordics, particularly in Sweden.

Siemens Grid Software has a wide portfolio of software solutions which are developed to support and solve several of the most demanding challenges related to energy transition, including e.g. decarbonization and the growth of distributed energy resources. Our main industries include e.g., energy and utilities, industrial, real estate, food and beverage.

Siemens Grid Software develops solutions for e.g., grid control, grid simulation, grid edge and meter data management. We also have a large and experienced consultancy team engaged with numerous clients on supporting them on the most demanding energy transformation questions. Over 70 % of the world’s energy flows are simulated with our solutions.

We are looking for a Sales manager to drive sales and business development of selected parts of our broad portfolio, particularly our Grid Edge and Meter Data Management solutions. Siemens Grid Edge provides capabilities for a broad range of challenges and use cases, including, but not limited to energy optimization, virtual power plants and EV charging management. The market for grid edge solutions is forecasted to grow 10 – 30 % annually. Our EnergyIP Meter Data Management Solutionis the market-leading MDM solution with an install base of 100 million meters. The exact coverage and role will be tailored based on the candidate’s profile and experiences.

What part will you play?

• Represent and drive the sales and business development of Grid Edge, Meter Data Management and related solutions in selected countries in Nordics, including Sweden and other countries. Hunter role - focus on net new sales

• Systematically create and develop account/territory/Go-to-market plans for your responsibility area

• Initiate and develop strong stakeholder relationships across your clients and prospects, including to white-space accounts and stake holders therein

• Develop and progress a strong pipeline of opportunities, owning opportunities, and securing deal closures that meet and exceed business objectives 

• Working in close collaboration with numerous internal stakeholders throughout the Siemens business 

What you need to make real what matters

As our ideal candidate you have a proactive and hunter approach to sales and business development, probably experience from high tech sales, and a solid track record in achieving sales targets. You have experience in selling value and are familiar in discussing with both technical, commercial, IT and c-level stakeholders at prospective buyer organizations. An entrepreneurial attitude and being comfortable to co-create with clients/partners will likely be something you are familiar with. 

We value experience from software and/or SaaS sales and having worked towards e.g., the Energy&Utilities and industrial sectors, particularly in Sweden. The candidate shall be able to fluently communicate in Swedish and English. 

Understanding of cloud and artificial intelligence is considered an asset as well as knowledge of Smart Grid Infrastructure. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business and team, and to drive the sales growth of Siemens’ unique solutions for the challenges in energy transformation. You will identify and develop account and territory plans for a structured approach in building pipeline and progressing deals to closure. You will work with a local as well as an international team of highly skilled subject matter experts who support you. You will report to the Siemens Grid Software head in the region.

Your independent way of working and distinctive analytical mindset combined with decision-making ability and assertiveness enables you to convince various stakeholders up to management of your ideas and to implement future-proof solutions.

Due to external engagements and contacts and being part of a global organization, some travel may be part of this position.
