What We Offer

Being an architect within Common Base Technology means you are part of a team of Architects, Product System Drivers, Specialists, and Technical Experts covering a wide area including communication, resource management, mode management, software download, data engineering, cyber security, diagnostics, fault management, and more for all systems across the entire vehicle. This is a leadership position responsible for driving the development of future concepts and system solutions to support our advanced ambitions in electrification, autonomous drive, and connectivity. This specific architecture responsibility covers Power Management.

What You'll Do
Your responsibility will cover two adjacent areas: energy management and power management. Electrical power and energy exist in different voltage domains and are used by various consumers throughout almost the entire vehicle. You will balance power and energy usage between different consumers while managing transformation between different voltage domains. Energy management involves defining and developing concepts and systems to provide energy efficiently, optimizing energy usage for different use cases, and addressing fault management and diagnostics. Power management involves securing power availability and safety for critical consumers, ensuring that components and systems are correctly specified throughout the product lifetime with a focus on availability and safety. Effective communication skills are crucial, as the role requires active collaboration with various stakeholders within the complete electrical domain across the company.

Who You Are
To succeed in this role, you are a curious and quick learner who enjoys exploring new areas. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, fluency in English (both verbal and written), and a strong preference for teamwork are essential. As this is a senior engineering position, leadership skills and a personal interest in further developing them are expected. You need a solid understanding of electrical architecture and engineering, including the physical behavior of electrical components like batteries, converters, harnesses, and connectors. Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, diagnostics, and system modeling is also valuable. A Master's degree in mechatronics, electrical/electronic engineering, or a similar field, along with over seven years of relevant work experience, is required. Skills in software architecture (e.g., software allocation and interfaces) are advantageous.
