Job description
We help our customer realizing their ideas into products. In this we need to understand visions and ideas expressed by persons with many different backgrounds. We turn the ideas into technical solutions and develop them. We design the system with choosing existing components and designing new ones depending on needs and cost efficiency.
The SW architect has the overall system view, knows what works and what doesn´t work, understands the hardware connections as well as the different building blocks in embedded systems.
Role and Responsibility
Leads the creation of the SW system architecture, defining components and interfaces.
Lead system requirement specification and system integration from a SW perspective.
Work directly with our customer, document and present the architecture and explain the technical decisions taken, including the tradeoffs and consequences of those decision.
Work closely with the HW System Engineer to ensure that the systems works as a whole, balancing hardware and software impact of system architecture decisions.
Technical lead design, bring-up and integration activities, and work to ensure that the consequences of any design changes made are well understood that integrity of the system is maintained.
Contribute in securing that Sigma Connectivity has technical core partners (such as platform providers, component suppliers and third party technology providers) to secure smooth operations in projects and increase sales and business opportunities.
Propose technical environment for development, test and transfer.
Requirements
We expect you to be skilled and have experience in:
Android framework
Embedded C/C++
Linux
Development tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Coverity
Debuggers like J-Link, ST-Link, Lauterbach, Trace32, Ozone and IAR Embedded Workbench
Additional skills in one or several of these areas are advantageous
Device driver development
Real time operating systems
Connectivity standards like Bluetooth, ZigBee, NFC, LTE and Wi-Fi
Power management
Audio software
Cameras and display software
Image analysis
Artificial Intelligence
Security
Measuring instruments like oscilloscope and logic analyzers
