YOU WILL

As Software Architect in the Android Automotive development team, you will work with a highly technical skilled group of Senior Software Developers, Product Owners and Scrum Masters. We build and integrate the future Bosch solutions for car infotainment systems. This is one of the fastest growing areas within automotive today and increasingly becoming a vital part of the driver/passenger journey with safer, more entertaining and richer connected experience. Google provide Android open source and adoptions of underlying hardware layers and additional services/apps and extensions are developed by Bosch and other 3rd parties. The coming systems combine the infotainment with the instrument cluster, autonomous driving and more. It runs hypervised and is highly integrated on the vehicle computer and the car electrical platform.

You will work in a multi-culture and cross-functional setup. You will also be part of a bigger lead architect arena where you will participate in deep technical discussions as well as drive investigations and make architectural decisions. You lead by example in the software development process and share your knowledge among your colleagues. You ensure that the code is well tested and perform code reviews to ensure architectural patterns are correctly and consistently implemented.

Our Android Automotive team in Lund owns the Android Software base on different system configurations and govern the source for easy start of customer projects. Together with the Product Manager for our internal acquisition platform you will be part of early work with proof of concept, prototypes and demonstrators for fares and customer meetings. You will be in the frontier of bring up new releases from Google and SoC vendors. You will have the opportunity to communicate globally with other software teams, 3rd parties, and customers and be part of identifying strategies and designing software solutions.

YOU ARE

We are looking for a talented and passionate Software Architect with knowledge and experience from system design, software solutions and software development on embedded Linux systems. You have good programming skills in C and/or C++ and experience in working with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins and CI. You have a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. We expect you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Any experience from the automotive industry is appreciated.

You have great analytical and communication skills. You are self-driven, take responsibility and like new challenges. Your mindset is flexible, and you easily adapt to new circumstances. You are devoted to creating great software but also to do it while having fun with the team.
