Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

At Climitization Controls we are a dedicated team that develops Electrification Management Systems for Scania trucks, busses, and power systems being a part of enabling the transition into electrification of heavy-duty applications. Organized in several teams we develop software and functionality for Thermal, Charging, and Battery Management for electrified trucks and busses.

We are looking for an experienced Application Software Architect to make intuitive high-level decisions for software development. You will see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for software design and implementation to guide the development team.

Key Responsibilities


• Collaborating with other professionals to determine high level functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
• Developing onboard application software for charging and related services
• Oversee progress of the development team and provide technical guidance to developers and engineers
• Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility, etc.
• Facilitating communication between Product Managers, Programmers, and Engineers.

Skills & Requirements


• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, software engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform at this level
• Expert knowledge of C/C++, Matlab/Simulink, and RTOS (real-time operating system)
• Experience in Embedded software development for vehicle/powertrain applications, including relevant standards and CAN bus communication
• Analytical skills, especially in the field of functional safety and safety-critical systems
• Experience in an Agile development environment and experience using tools such as JIRA and GIT.
