What's in it for you?
You will be part of the amazing Vendor- and Software Asset Management team, responsible to maximize the value and performance from our IT services and software vendors. We are part of the Digital Core unit which is enabling the creation and delivery of attractive consumer products and offers through digital solutions. Digital Core is critical for our company’s transformation and plays a key role in this exciting journey!

We are now searching for a Software Asset Manager (SAM) with focus on SAP. The purpose of the SAM role within Volvo Cars is to optimize IT software costs and limit operational, financial, and legal risk related to the ownership and use of software assets (including SaaS) and Cloud. In addition to this you will also assume a Vendor Manager role for SAP. This is a very important position since Volvo Cars is on a journey to modernize and optimize the SAP landscape.

What will you do?
SAM manages portfolios of selected software licenses that are used within Volvo Car Group with the main responsibilities:
* Management of Software Agreements 
* To participate in strategic business dialogues
* Ensure License Control 
* Reviews and Assessments
* Manage license audits and reviews
* SAM-tool expert
* License Support
* Reporting on e.g., license position


Who are you?
We’re looking for you who possess a deep understanding of the Software Asset Management area and holds a university degree or equivalent work experience. You have around 5-10 years of professional experience within Software Asset Management or equivalent area, as well as profound knowledge/experience of SAP license models/agreements and deep knowledge of software license models in general (e.g., SaaS, Cloud, Microsoft, and IBM).

You are experienced in interpreting software licensing terms and conditions, license complexity within larger enterprises, and have a good understanding of enterprise frameworks. Your supplier relation and negotiation skills are strong, and you are an excellent collaborator who is highly driven, proactive, and structured with a passion for improvement processes and WoW. 

Finally, certification in Software Asset Management and experience from implementing and working with FinOps principles and frameworks is highly appreciated.
