Software Asset Manager

This is the job
As a Software Asset Manager at Tele2 you will be involved in the management of software acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and costing. You will be part of the Software Asset Management team that resides within the IT-Workplace Unit.

Responsibilities include
• Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
• Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
• Manage internal/external audits and proactively work for compliance
• Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
• Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost.
• Develop processes and routines with stakeholders in terms of license management processes
• Develop reporting functions to address management requirements to obtain information.
• Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
• Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.

You have
• Broad knowledge in terms of software, servers, clients and general IT technology
• Been working with SNOW license manager software
• A strong analytical mindset
• Proven researching ability


Role Desirables
• IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience
• Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions
• Passion for technology and IT, and curious to learn new things
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written, fluently in Swedish and English.
