DWT Consulting is a smaller consulting company that is currently expanding. DWT has its customers mainly in Stockholm, but also in Gothenburg and Malmö. We work with both authorities and private actors.
For our client we are looking for a Software Asset Manager.
Role Description
You will be working with Digital Ability & Business Engagement developing and governing ways of working for all of IT within the our clients organization. Effective Software Asset Management (SAM) is important to our client to reduce license risks and optimize the value of the license portfolio. Our client is currently changing the company structure, and therefore they need to strengthen their SAM team to support the business in, amongst others, the way they are licensing their software tools.
The Software Asset manager will be responsible of securing that software, also in times of change, is used in line with current agreements by collaborating with business, internal IT, licensors and other external partners. This can include re-negotiating software use-rights, transfer of agreements between entities and to communicate to stakeholders how software is allowed to be used. The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines, prioritizing under pressure and maintaining a high level of quality and communication, is key.
Our client consider below responsibilities and tasks as a joint effort together with mentioned team members. The Software Asset Manager will report to the Director of Digital Ability & Engagement.
Responsibilities/Tasks
Manage vendors to extract maximum possible value from a contractual arrangement through governance and relationship building.
Internal stakeholder management, including business functions, IT Product Teams, Purchasing, Legal, Security, External partners and Vendors.
Provide legal, technical and financial insights of the software license agreements to all stakeholders.
Support vendor selection and RFI / RFQ processes alongside Purchasing, negotiating terms and conditions.
Together with the rest of the SAM-team, drive the development of the Software Asset Management processes and license management systems.
