We are recruiting a baseline manager that handles all software releases towards our electrical & software platforms. JOB DESCRIPTION
The main area of responsibility would be to handle the creation of software baselines by collecting information and software releases from the different product areas within the electrical & software architecture department at Volvo Buses. This is done by close cooperation with our node owners and users of software baselines. The main stakeholders are our complete vehicle verification department, production software planning and service market software release responsible.


Other responsibility includes to head the departments release approval process for software, securing that the baselines released are of good quality, verified by the development teams and usable by our stakeholders.
You will work in a team of around 8 persons that manages the continues integration of software into our products, with responsibility for software infrastructure and release management. This team supports all the different development areas within the department.


Since we are a smaller company, we all work with broad responsibilities and cross-functionally through the entire company, across many different departments, cultures, and competence areas. This position will be no different, coordinating yours and your teams work with the rest of the development teams here at buses will be important.

In close cooperation with colleagues at different departments, we are supporting each other in reaching our mission in helping millions of travellers reaching their travel destination. THIS PROBABLY DEFINES YOU
We believe you have several years of experience from Volvo Group software documentation systems like SW Configurator and ProTom. You have a good understanding of automotive software development processes and experience from different parts of the development process. Maybe you have worked as a node owner in an automotive company?


Experience in leading and participating in teams and development networks, coordinating work across different competences to ensure the end delivery is the best compromise is also valued. We think that you have a MSc or BSc degree in mechatronics/electrical/software engineering or equivalent, are great at communication and networking, solution focused and eager to learn and work with your own development. You are fluent in English, spoken and written.
