Software Component Responsible for On-Board Charger

The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering (EPS) is responsible for development of all major parts of hybrid and electric vehicle systems at Volvo Cars. Sub-systems as Electric Drives, HV Batteries, Power supplies, Chargers etc. are some of our responsibilities.

The group Charging System is responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the on-board charger (OBC) system in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. We are working with continuous integration as development praxis and we are striving towards continuous deployment of Software.

As Software Component Responsible (SWKA) you would be responsible to secure high quality and accurate SW deliveries in running projects, you will be responsible to secure that we have a clear picture of software contents in all SW releases from in-house development team and supplier, you will be responsible to follow up the progress of SW development and verification by development team both in-house and supplier. You will be the main contact person between EPS project leaders and supplier regarding software development.

Main responsibilities:

* Deliver Software to project and project execution according to Volvo Product Development System
* Planning of SW development and delivery timing
* Implementation of SW requirements in project
* Define and maintain SW time plan as well as Function Implementation Plan (FIP)
* Administrate SW deliveries
* Input items to in-house SW product backlog
* Design of ECU-SW in Volvo requirement system
* Connect ECU-SW to SW architecture in Volvo requirement system
* Software Requirement Specification (SWRS) document release
* Report SW test results into Volvo requirement system
* SW issue management for both supplier and in-house development team
* Responsible for Requirement compliancy status
* Organise and manage SW Delivery reviews according to defined process as well as SW Joint reviews according to defined process
* Organise and manage Document reviews
* Manage data (calibration parameters) review meeting
* Manage sign off process between OBC Systems Team and OBC Software Team
* Manage software configurations and hardware dependencies

Required qualifications

* Master or Bachelor of Science within engineering or equivalent work life experience
* A couple of years relevant job experience
* Experience of working with software development and software requirement
* Good English skills, written and spoken
* Driving license, B
* Experience as software team leader is meritorious
* Experience of model based development (MBD) is meritorious
* Knowledge about AUTOSAR architect and development is meritorious
* Experience of working with scrum - as Product Owner (PO) or Scrum Master (SM)- is meritorious
* Experience in the automotive industry is meritorious
* Experience as Function developer is meritorious
* Experience of working with system requirement is meritorious
* Knowledge about OBC functionality and charging standards: AC, CHAdeMO, CCS is meritorious
