Software Configuration Manager (SWCM) - Android CI
At Aptiv in our Gothenburg Technical Center, we develop infotainment systems for global manufacturers, both for cars and heavy vehicles. With decades of experience in in-vehicle infotainment systems, we have worked with the most renowned vehicle manufacturers around the globe.
In our successful and close collaboration with leading OEMs we developed the first-to-market infotainment system based on the Google Android™ Automotive OS. We continue to win new business, deliver cutting edge infotainment systems based on Android Automotive and we are now expanding our Android CI teams to further scale our globally recognized CI/CT/CD system.
The Android CI teams are in charge of development, operations and (developer) support of the automated toolchain and infrastructure for Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing and Continuous Delivery for a full-stack Android Automotive OS.
Your Role


Improve source code management strategies for highly-complex Android-projects with hundreds of code repositories.
Improve strategies for code reuse, code sharing and code licensing.
Improve branching and release strategies.
Work with software architects to improve source code architecture.
Responsible for trainings for software developers in topics of repository management, branching strategies, code licensing and SCM-tools such as Git and Gerrit.
Contribute to development of CI architecture and integration strategy.

As Software Configuration Manager, you will be part of a Scrum Team for Android Continuous Integration. Your team will collaborate closely with other teams. You will join Aptiv’s global CI-community and participate in local and global CoP-events.
Your Background
You are friendly, technically-minded and able to work both in close collaboration with team members and independently driven by your own initiative. This is senior or almost-senior level position.
Required:


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
Fluent in English written and verbally
Proficiency in SCM with Git



One or more of the following:
Experience in CI or DevOps
Experience in embedded or automotive software development
Experience in Android or Linux-based OS-development
