Software Configuration Manager (CM) to Atlas Copco Industrial Technique

We are on the journey to improve our build system setup, moving towards continuous integration and system integration test on product level. You will be a key resource in structuring the work, planning a migration to Git, aligning with CMs in other departments and creating/executing the plan forward.

In the role as Software Configuration Manager, you will be part of a multinational and 400 people strong R&D department at our HQ in Nacka. We develop and deliver products and service solutions used by customers worldwide. Your main responsibility will be to support the System Software Department with 55 people and 5-10 products under version control. You will be responsible for tracking and controlling changes in the software, including revision control and establishment of baselines. You will cooperate with configuration managers in adjacent departments to secure continuously improvements and alignments. We work in an agile environment, where quality and delivery over time is most important.

Some of your tasks;
Support functional release flow, from source code version control through building systems and integration
Plan, implement and drive the CM plan for products and platforms.
Define and maintain product structures
Ensure traceability of software source code and code for automatic tests
Improve and integrate our version control and build systems with integration
Support and guide colleagues and projects regarding our version control and build system
Ensure that we have working processes and tools
Ensure that the infrastructure needed is operational, including making sure backups and business continuity plans are in place.

What we expect from you
We would like you to have a relevant experience from operational development tools in an agile environment. You work as software configuration manager today and have a great understanding of the development chain and how different systems and processes are connected. You have a relevant technical training and lots of experience in the field as Configuration Manager. Experience in Git is required.

As a person you are analytical, structured and passionate about working with problem solving. You easily communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, and with all levels in a larger organization. We also want to see that you like improvements and are comfortable pushing them through.
