Your role

Command and Control West is growing and we are putting more efforts into the configuration management area. This is a position for a configuration manager with an interest in software quality. You will be a part of our journey to grow and develop ways of working so that we can manage to deliver successfully and efficiently in our projects and product programs.



As a Software Configuration Manager for Command and Control West, you lead the Configuration Management work for software products which are used together with radars.

Your main tasks are:

Support software developers and project management to structure products and projects as well as coach our software developers concerning configuration management matters
*

Steer and structure products and documents as well as changes
*

Perform document reviews and sanity checks of structures before project deliveries
*

Develop our ways of working and drive changes for efficiencies
*

Conduct third-party-product reviews
*

Teach Configuration management courses for our software developers



Your profile

To succeed in this role, you need to be interested in creating structures and to be in control of projects. You are analytic, curious with the ability to understand the overview as well as dig deep into details. We think you are a structured person who enjoys being accurate and concise, and might get disturbed by typos.



In the configuration manager role, you will act as an interface between internal and external customers and therefore need to have great communication skills, fluent in both Swedish and English. As a person, you are positive, approachable and enjoy teamwork!



You have at least a couple of years with experience from working as a Software Configuration Manager within the area of complex system development.

Required skills:

Bachelor degree or work experience in similar roles and tasks
*

A few years of experience from working with software configuration management
*

Knowledge in git, Bitbucket, Artifactory
*

Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written



Desired skills:

*

Experience from working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.



What you will be a part of

You will be part of the development of command, control and communication systems for our radars used in the ground base air defence domain. The department consists of approximately 60 employees and consultants and we plan to grow. We have the whole chain of competences from demand to delivery within our department.
