We are looking for a recently graduated engineer within Electronics, Engineering Physics or Computer Science, who wants a stimulating job in the fast growing market for automated crane systems. For the right person this position has great development potential.
You will be part of the Ports business line within ABB Marine and Ports division that is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for all types of container and bulk cargo handling cranes, as well as OCR and electrical systems for container terminals. We offer an international and dynamic working environment where our business deliver advanced technology in large projects across the world in a customer oriented and highly globalized industry.
This position reports to Engineering Manager.
Your responsibilities
With us you will be active in an environment with world-class technology and in a position where you will have a broad responsibility within the project design phase.
You will strive to meet on time deliveries and quality.
You will be based in Västerås, Sweden but the role will require some travels to our worldwide customers.
You will be designing the project specific automation system and concepts in our delivery projects.
The work will provide you with a broad technical understanding and experience of having customer contact.
You will have central role in the project and will work close together with all parts of ABB Crane Systems, as well as with our customers.

Your background
You have a Bachelor or Master of Science within Electronics, Engineering Physics or Computer Science or you have extensive experience from programming and designing control systems.
You need to be skilled in PLC programming or equal systems as C++.
Both candidates with less experience (looking for your first position) or heavy experienced in business alike within software design and development.
Extensive contacts with customers and team members require that you are fluent in English and Swedish. Knowledge of other languages is a merit.
Most important is that you have a strong personal drive and a will to continuously learn and advance your skills.
You should be a strong communicator and have good collaboration skills.
