Software Designer – Driver Systems

Driver Systems is a function within Embedded Software & Functions development Scania R&D. We have a globally responsibility for development within driver systems in our trucks and buses e.g. SW platforms & applications, GUI and human-centered design thinking, system & function development and testing.


As a SW Designer you will be a part of a team with its mission to develop, test and verify the electrical driver systems through concept phases up to serial production and maintenance while optimizing demands on features, quality, deliveries and cost for vehicles all over the world.

Together with your team mates you will be responsible for the development and introduction of new software functions in our Scania driver systems for different Electronic Control Units (ECU).

We have an exciting future ahead of us with new driver systems in a highly integrated vehicle architecture and high demand for features like Autonomous Drive and in-vehicle driver functions.

Tasks and Responsibilities
You will play an important role in the development of new software for our driver system ECU ’s. The role requires frequent communication with colleagues regarding specifications, functionality and diagnostics. Participate in in-house and external software development. Breaking down user functions into technical requirements for software and GUI.Contribute in integration and testing of functionality in test benches and vehicles. Keep up with the latest of embedded trends, technologies, best practices, etc
