We are looking for a candidate that holds a three- to five-year university degree that is mainly tailored towards digital electronics with microprocessor engineering and automatic control. Comprehensive knowledge of programming (C, C++) is essential as is knowledge of Windows-programing with Visual studio and UX-design. Knowledge of QT application framework, SQL-programing and Linux are advantageous as well as an understanding of safety-related control systems and bus systems (such as Ethernet, CAN and PROFIBUS)

As a software designer for embedded systems, you will be part of a 9-person team who focus on the research and development, including design of control and safety system functions, for shipboard cranes.

The role of software designer offers a stimulating and varying work package with great opportunities to influence technical solutions. Your main tasks will be programming software for the embedded systems control monitor and support tools, creating test specifications for validation and provide input to operation manuals.

As person you should be problem-solving and analytical, have a strong interest in programming, preferably towards embedded systems, and flexible in your daily work. You also need to be creative and able to develop and present new and different solutions. It is also important that you are interested in learning new things and easily adapt to new techniques.

As the position will have many internal and external contacts, good communication skills and knowledge of spoken and written English and Swedish is important.
