Westermo is looking for a Software Developer

As Software Developer for Embedded Systems at Westermo you get a great chance to become part of a rather unique experience. We develop WeOS - our own Operating System based on Linux with Industrial Data Communication services - for deployment onto approx 70 HW articles. This is achieved through one common source code base.

The main focus lies on implementation of Cyber Security services in embedded systems. Design, implementation, trouble shooting, support and maintenance of WeOS is part of the role.

You will be working with understanding requirements and breaking them down into design and implementation as well as implementing relevant tests in Python to verify the correctness of the solution. Development is focused at embedded systems developed in C on customized HW.

Qualifications

We are looking for a person who is interested in software development and have a very good understanding of data communications products and embedded systems development.

We believe you have a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering. It is required to have good knowledge in C and at least some knowledge about Linux and Python.

 Experience from development in Open Source Projects, software development in C, software development on Linux or Wireshark (use or development of it) is meritorious.

 You have good skills in writing and speaking Swedish as well as English.

You will be based in our office in Västerås.
