What you would do as our Software Developer
This role belongs to the ASSA ABLOY Group Technology Team. The team works across all ASSA ABLOY Divisions to provide common platforms, modules and systems. It is truly one of the main powerhouses for innovation within the organization where the challenges never stop.
In this role, you will work together with creative, curious and competent System Developers, QA Testers and Integration Architects to create the next generation of access control solutions, including protocol definitions and implementations. The role also offers a unique opportunity to interact directly with the various hardware platforms that are using the software to get first-hand information on how your progress affects the different products.
You would also:
Develop protocols and APIs for connection between mobile devices, back-end software and embedded solutions
Work with both symmetric and asymmetric cryptography
Work with modern tools such as GIT, Junit, AWS, Azure and Docker
Provide support to developers within the ASSA ABLOY Group globally
Collaborate with various users and stakeholders within the ASSA ABLOY Group that are involved in refining- and adaptation activities of our components
Participate in our innovation days where you will get to work outside of the box to try innovations and ideas to find synergies with your own projects.
This role is located in Stockholm, Sweden and you will report directly to the R&D Manager for Product Development.
The skills and experience you need
We believe that you are an experienced Software Developer who wants to work with both Software Development and Protocol Development as well as with its implementation. Your main competence should be within Java Development, but you should also be curious or have some form of experience from App development, embedded Software Development and/or Protocol Development.
You would also need:
Basic understanding of e2e functions such as Back-End Cloud, Mobile Applications and various Hardware devices.
An interest in cryptography
Experience from working with GIT and AWS (or similar environment as Back-End)
As a person, we think it is important that you are natural self-starter who is used to work in agile teams. We are a large organization, so you can expect to collaborate with several different stakeholders at the same time and it is important that you can prioritize and structure your work. It is also important that you are flexible and curious about trying new technologies as we are evolving at a high pace. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.
