Are you the next software developer who can contribute to Ericsson's market-leading base station products for creating crucial digital infrastructure?
In the Business Area Networks (BNEW) organization where 5G was born, we have development sites all over the world. Together with the supply and service organizations, we create future-proof, scalable network architectures in an industry that is constantly on the move. Our approach is simple: we build solutions that empower our customers to meet tomorrow’s demands. 5G is happening now, with the first commercial launches implemented today.
Our software development unit develops the software which controls, supervises, and analyzes the base station functionality, which enables our mobile networks around the world. These mobile networks are the core to the accelerating digital transformation which is building our networked society where everything that can be connected will be connected. This is fast-paced development where your work will be crucial for deliveries that will be running in hundreds of networks worldwide within just a few days.
We stand at the forefront of Agile software development, using methods like Lean and Scrum to create a product which excels. Our teams are cross-functional, self-organizing, international, and highly independent. We are constantly improving our ways of working.
Ericsson believes that it is critical to encourage personal development to have a successful team. As such, we have established a budget for employee education and allow developers to take training courses or otherwise improve their skill set during normal business hours. You will work together with a team in the Common Architecture Tier (CAT) organization based in Lindholmen Göteborg. Our office is located right in the middle of “Gothenburg’s Silicon Valley”, a vibrant area with a mix of people from university and technology companies.
You will
Work in an agile way and be part of a team that works with Systemization, Software design and Verification.
Have responsibility for end-to-end solutions for Radio Base Station features.
Build and maintain a wide range of innovative software products with the newest technology.
To be successful in the role you must have
Several years of experience working as a developer.
A Bachelor or Master of Science (e.g. Science within Electrical Engineering, Data Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Software Engineering of Distributed Systems, Engineering Physics) or equivalent formal education.
Core competence in C++ or Java.
Good English language and collaboration skills.
Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge.
