We are looking for a Software Developer to join the NFF Data Services Team – NFF is Nasdaq’s evolutionary harmonized approach to delivering robust end-to-end solutions to financial infrastructure providers in an open, agile environment. Our Data Platform team is a team consisting of developers working together to form the core functional and non-functional part of our Data Platform, to ensure the successful delivery of projects, enhancements, and support to our customers.

Your role and responsibilities:
Participate in the development of strategic goals for leveraging our Data Platform
Employ standard methodologies to ensure high availability and performance
Review system requirements and implement designed solutions
Develop in Java/C++ for new applications, analyze and modify existing solutions, improve performance or enhance product usability
Develop, test, and debug in a Linux and cloud environment
Provide internal technical support for developed products
Build and tune the products for both on-prem and cloud deployment
We expect you to have:
Experience in software development from previous employment, part-time jobs or summer jobs working with Java or C/C++.
At least a bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field
Curiosity and a highly collaborative work style
Initiative, adaptability, eagerness to learn and tackle challenges diving into new territories
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
It would be great if you have experience with the following technologies:
Experience in working with Python
SQL / other relational databases
Private or public clouds such as Google, AWS, or Azure
Kafka and/or the Hadoop Ecosystem- HDFS, Spark, Presto, Parquet file format
Spring, React, or JavaScript
Docker or Kubernetes
