Your team
Within Epiroc Mining Intelligence R&D we continue to expand to meet the growing demand for our current and coming solutions among an increasing number of customers around the world.

As a Software Engineer you will be a part of an autonomous agile team in which you will participate in every stage of the software development, from design and brainstorming to feature implementation, testing, and delivery. You will learn from people with unique competence and skills while contributing with yours.
The agile teams consist of 4-6 persons, and they all have their own responsibility areas requiring different tech skills.
Your mission 
You will be working in a team focusing on a core set of backend microservices.
The team also handles the physical tracking devices, meaning there is a mix of embedded programming, android development as well as backend development involved in the team's work. Our development environment is based on modern and cutting-edge technologies.

You will always be looking for a new, smarter way to operate between design, code and tests in a fast and agile environment close to our international customers.

Your profile
In our ideal candidate, we seek experienced engineers who possess a sharp and curious mindset, valuing a fresh perspective to aid in the development of current applications and the creation of new services. 

Your passion for the latest technology should be evident in your ability to apply it to meet customer needs and expectations, ultimately creating significant customer value. 

Your expertise should span software and systems, including Go, Java, Linux, Docker, microservice design, and cloud-native thinking.

Merit is given to candidates with experience and skills in areas such as embedded programming in C, mobile app development in Android and Kotlin, gRPC and RabbitMQ, as well as the Hashicorp Stack and Azure Cloud Services.
Location and travel
We are located in a climate-smart office built for collaboration, networking and innovation, in the central parts of Luleå.
There will be occasional business trips. The development work sometimes takes you to exiting places and testing can be done 1000 meters below the surface of the earth.
