Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.

Who We Are
At Volvo, we're not just competing with traditional automotive companies but also fast-moving tech innovators. Our vision is to enhance the ownership experience of every Volvo, ensuring all cars are connected and continuously improving for both new and existing models. We offer a collaborative, agile work environment where team effort is valued over individual contributions. Located at the tech hub of Lindholmen, Gothenburg, our office boasts a vibrant atmosphere and stunning river views.

What You'll Do
As an Embedded Android (AOSP) Developer, you will be responsible for developing software in the native layers of Android's automotive OS, specifically for our infotainment systems. You will work closely with partners such as Google, internal teams, and stakeholders to create end-to-end solutions. Your tasks will span the entire development lifecycle, including architecture, design, coding, documentation, and validation. Staying updated on industry trends will also be key to ensuring our systems remain cutting-edge.

Who You Are
You're a proactive and adaptable problem-solver, passionate about creating solutions that enhance customer experience. You have strong communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with both team members and stakeholders. A team player with a strong sense of integrity and innovation, you're excited by the opportunity to shape the future of automotive technology. You hold a Master's in Software Engineering or have at least five years of relevant experience, with expertise in embedded Android development, Python, and Git. Experience in automotive infotainment and a Swedish B driver's license are additional assets.
