Software Developer - Climate Control

The Climate Control Software team is responsible for the in-house development of the control algorithms for the cabin climate. To design the functionality, the base tools are Matlab/Simulink. There are strict processes for quality assurance in-place. The team is working with an agile process, SCRUM, supported by tools like Jira, and in close cooperation with stakeholders. There is a complete automated toolchain for building complete Autosar compliant software package that are tested for tests in vehicle and rig. The team today includes 10 persons, who are responsible for development, integration and test of the application SW for the Climate Control Module, CCM. CCM is the master ECU in the Climate Control System.

As Software Developer you will establish and develop relationships with System Designers for several functional areas, as well as building an understanding of the system design within those areas. In this position you will build and maintain a wide personal network within R&D. The job is carried out in close cooperation with software integration, Test Engineers and Software responsible.

Main responsibilities

* Develop software components and applications in MATLAB/Simulink
* Review software requirements specification
* Design and develop unit test specifications and perform unit testing
* Responsible for issue and change management on developed models
* Secure that models are ready in time, updated and released
* Discuss technical solutions with supliers and the internal team
* Support investigations and task force activities

Required qualifications

* B.Sc. grade within Electrical, Computer, Engineering Physics or equivalent level of education
* Experience of Simulation and Model-Based Design using MATLAB/ Simulink
* Experience of developing software algorithms and specifications
* Knowledge in AUTOSAR
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Drivers' license B
* Experience from Agile development processes is meritorious
* Experience from software design for automotive is meritorious
* Programming skills in C, C++ or Python is meritorious
* Knowledge in Volvo Product Development System (VPDS) is meritorious
