Software Developer - API Services

Location: We would prefer you to be based next to the development team in Malmö, Sweden. However, remote locations in CET time zone (+/- 1 hour difference) can be considered for the right candidate.
The essence of the role
As our new Software Developer, you will be part of the API Services team at Sinch, where you will work on systems that support all of our products, with a focus on implementing common solutions for building robust and secure APIs. Our primary product is an API platform built around Istio and Kubernetes.
To solve the problems we are facing, you will need to both create new software components as well as leverage the latest cloud native technologies.
As a Service Mesh Developer at Sinch your main responsibilities will be:
Develop and maintain the API platform that supports our APIs
Implement new service mesh features that make building APIs at Sinch even easier
Participate in the development process all the way from design to deployment of new services

In order to be proficient in this role you:
Have a couple of years’ experience in developing software
Have an interest in the operational aspects of software design
Are fluent in English

You'll stand out from the crowd if you:
Have previous experience building APIs at a global scale and/or experience in API security
Know the ins and outs of Kubernetes
Have worked with Istio, Envoy, and gRPC
Are proficient in Kotlin and Go
