Volvo Cars next generation infotainment system is based on Android Automotive, with close direct collaboration with Google Corporation.
We are now looking for continuous integration software developers to strengthen our teams to participate in our journey towards electrification, personalization and a safety.
Developers work in agile teams divided in the following areas, Android Platform, Connectivity, User interaction, Security, Android Automotive app development, Climate control and other car functions etc. We apply the latest software development practices, and teams are supported with continuous integration frameworks and collaboration tools.
What you'll do
As a CI Software Developer, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining the code flow, test pipelines and test environments. Your main focus is to deliver software that is able to function well within the Infotainment eco system. This includes flexible, maintainable and extendable solutions to support the development of our roadmap as well as adapting to the ever-changing demands from the world around us. You will engage in discussions about how to implement new and innovative ideas in the Volvo Cars infotainment system.
You will develop and maintain the CI pipelines as well as our test environments (HIL/SIL). You will benchmark and optimize the CI pipeline for quality, stability and speed as well as synch and cooperate with partners and teams. You are to track and visualize status of code, flow and infrastructure.
Who you are
You would carry a M.Sc in Software Engineering or similar relevant experience. You carry about 5 years of experience in software development and more specifically experience from working with Continuous Integration and Automatic testing. You are fluent in English both written and spoken.
You strive for future development and challenges. Youa re self driven, with a strong delivery orientation. You are communicative and a great team player, with positive and pro-active attitude as well as a problem solver, with good analytical skills.
What would benefit you in this role is if you bring experienced as a Python developer and/or experience in Android stack. If you bring experience from databases, such as MongoDB or MySQL and from Embedded Linux Development. Experience of Git/Gerrit, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins is also beneficial.
