What do we offer?
Volvo Cars is growing and facing an exciting future in the electrification of vehicles. If you want to utilize state of the art methods to test and verify next generation electrified luxury cars, the role as our new Hardware in the loop (HIL) Development Engineer is the role for you to prosper!
You will be part of an agile HIL Development team in the ART Software Factory within the Product Stream Electric Propulsion. You will be a member of a truly international team designing HIL test-environments for production software testing. Meaning the HIL framework you will create is crucial for testing embedded electrical propulsion software used in the Traction Battery, Charging and Electric Drive Systems.

What you’ll do
You will be a vital part of the team that drives our strategies and tools used for HIL model development as well as implementation of new concepts and investigations. Your focus is to increase development speed and model quality. You will be leading in the inclusion of HIL models in the CI/CD chain as well as continuous investigations and improvements of out tools, in-house and bought.

Do you fit the profile?
You are a communicative team player and a problem solver who likes to take initiative and ownership and drive things to solution. We see that you have a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, SW Engineering or equivalent with emphasis on vehicle and driveline. You have extensive experience in programming Matlab and Python and are proficient in dynamic modelling using Simulink.

Experience from some of below would also be considered meritorious:
* Experience with HIL systems, preferably dSPACE, and real-time simulation
* Electric Machine-, Power Electronic- and Traction Battery controls
* Experience in Continuous Integration or DevOps
* Software testing
* Automotive Ethernet
* Linux
