Software Developer, Java Server Technology

TIBCO Software, Spotfire Division is expanding and looking for Senior Software Engineers with experience in Java Server development.If you have a passion for developing world class software and want to work together with a fantastic group of people we encourage you to apply!The Position As a Senior Software Developer you will work with TIBCO Spotfire's server side technologies in goal-oriented projects of 5-15 people.You will contribute to the following parts of the development process: * Technical requirement analysis * Design * Implementation * Internal and external documentation * Bug management and maintenance You will contribute as a technical expert during project planning efforts, such as time and resource estimation.You will also participate in our efforts to continuously improve our product quality and the way we develop products.You will be based in our Göteborg office and have lots of opportunities to collaborate with colleagues around the globe.Your Background We are looking for people with a genuine passion for creating software and you probably started writing code long before your formal education.As a person you are curious and always stay up to date with the latest technologies.You like challenges, problem solving, and strive for great results.You also need to be a good team player with excellent communication skills as most of our work is performed in projects.Requirements * A Masters or PhD in subjects such as computer science, software engineering, IT or related subjects * Fluency in business English (written and spoken) * Experience in enterprise scale client/server software development * More than 3 years of Java programming experience * Deep technical knowledge within Java Server technologies with special interest in one or many of the following areas: - Scalability - Databases - HTTP Communication & Web Services - Authentication - Application servers - Software architecture & Design patterns - Security Additional merits * More than 5 years experience as a software developer, including: - Strong skills in software analysis, development and design - Proven experience of the complete software product life-cycle - Proven ability to work successfully in a team environment * Database programming experience * .NET programming experience * Experience in Configuration Management Personal skills * Passion for software development * Strong technology/programming focus * Team player * Detail oriented * Quality focused About TIBCO Spotfire TIBCO Software, Spotfire Division is the world leading producer of next generation Business Intelligence software.Our software is used to visually and interactively analyze data to find trends, outliers and anomalies.
