Software Developer - Risk Infrastructure Team

Risk Management is in the core of Klarna´s product. Our multi-billion-dollars portfolio is growing rapidly in size and complexity as we introduce new markets, payment options and products. We combine the credit complexity lines for multiple years with the high turnover and high volatile nature of eCommerce portfolio. Risk is responsible for improving Acceptance rate, reducing Losses and using Data sources at optimal costs.

At the Risk Infrastructure Team our overall job is to design, deliver and maintain tools to support the goals of the Risk Department such as:
- Provide quality tools for data representation and analysis
- Create and maintain analytical solutions for supporting automatic credit models and scorecards
- Investigate new analytical leads and provide technological platform for the leads to go live

As a Software Developer within the Risk Infrastructure Team you will work with:
- RDBMS ? PostgreSQL
- non-RDBMS data sources - Hadoop, Graph DB
- Business Rules Management System (BRMS)
- Java-based technologies
- scripting - bash, python
- PHP
- JavaScript/JQuery

Required Qualifications
- Object-oriented application development experience 1-2 years (Java is an advantage)
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Sciences, related field or equivalent experience
- Good relational database experience. Preferably with Postgres (Hadoop/Neo4j is an advantage but not a must).
- Understanding of client-side technologies stack: JavaScript/JQuery.
- Hands-on experience with one of these: PHP, Python or Ruby is an advantage
- Understanding of various web technologies and frameworks
