Software Developer Senior Specialist

The opportunity to join the Nasdaq Post Trade Clearing product teams, the teams are strong spirited with varying levels of experience, as seasoned developer you will have to opportunity to both learn from experts in the teams as well as share your previous knowledge with others. The product you will work with is a vast and complex, which will offer technical challenges, and the opportunity to choose tasks based on your interest and expertise.
As a Software Developer Senior Specialist you will be integrally involved in meeting our challenge to develop robust high quality software, with ever increasing performance requirements and simultaneously contribute to improve agility and time to market in a changing business and regulatory environment.
Your role and responsibilities:
Designing solutions and writing good quality code that solves difficult problems in a highly distributed system with extreme demands on resilience and quality
You will be involved in all stages of the product life cycle; design, implementation, testing, release, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance and enhancement
Always consider performance implications when developing and refactoring code
Contribute with your experience and input to sprint planning, retrospectives and time estimation of features and change requests
Give continuous feedback to other developers, architects, testers, as well as Project Managers
We're looking for Someone With:
A degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or related discipline
Several years of work experience in an agile software development environment
Excellent Java (8 & 11) and Spring skills and experience
Experience from working with JIRA, Git, Bitbucket, Maven and Team city
Passion for building great products and delivering to business and customers
Ability to engage and collaborate closely with external clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
A strong inner drive and motivation, thriving in a high pace environment
Experience from the financial industry
It would be great if you have:
Clearing, trading, or risk experience
Experience from working in cross functional team in an agile way
Front-end Development experience
