Just Arrived AB is now looking for a Software Developer to join the team!
Software Engineers are responsible for building and maintaining the backbone of Just Arrived AB's customers - the processing, automation, tooling and front-end products that create new opportunities for our clients and serve as a multiplier of the work done by our teams.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will join our Stockholm-based technology team, working collaboratively with other engineers, analysts and product managers to serve internal and customer needs. Software Engineers have near-endless opportunities to create new products and improve existing processes, from back-end data processing, visualization and analytics tools to front end web applications, and we welcome your creativity. Whether you're a generalist or an expert in web apps or big data, we want to talk to you.

Primary role
- Work directly with Engineering, Product and Data teams to design and build scalable, distributed and robust data processing systems
- Write high quality, maintainable code as a core member of the engineering team
- Integrate with third party APIs for both pull and push data operations
- Continuously push the technology bar, researching and implementing new approaches to improve our processes and solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related subject, or commensurate experience
- Experience with an Object Oriented Language such as Ruby, Java, Python
- Experience developing web applications in a MVC architecture
- Understanding of how solutions are built in the cloud using a major provider such as AWS (including EC2, S3, Redshift, RDS, EMR), Google or Azure
- Understanding of distributed system development
- Working knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of front end technology including HTML, CSS and javascript, and preferably a modern responsive framework such as foundation or bootstrap
- Knowledge of version control software, preferably Git
- Very comfortable with the command line and Linux environment
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical peers alike
- Love of problem-solving
- An ability and eagerness to learn and teach others
