Software Developer to Payment Gateway team at Svea Bank

Arbetsbeskrivning

We’re now looking for a .NET developer with knowledge of Java to join our “Payment Gateway” team, a part of the business function that works with payment solutions for e-commerce. Here, we provide a web-based payment solution, which impacts the work-life of thousands of merchants and indirectly serves millions of consumers who use Svea Checkout. We focus on creating a seamless customer journey and the best possible customer experience by providing a fast and modern user interface.

Why join us?

You will be part of an exciting journey where we together shape the future of financial solutions. Being part of the Svea family means a steep development curve with the opportunity to influence your work and technical choices, but also try out different roles and responsibilities while working in a fast-paced market.

Your colleagues are always ready to lend a hand when needed, listen to your ideas, and challenge you to level up your ways of working. In addition to being a part of your team, we have various groups and parallel initiatives that you can join and further develop yourself by learning from others and sharing your own experiences. With more than 200 employees within IT at Svea Bank, you get an excellent chance to connect with other enthusiastic people interested in the back & front-end, performance, security, and other competence areas. If you want to develop within leadership down the road, there are many teams and opportunities to explore leading roles.

About the role:

In this role, you’ll be part of a team that handles and secures payment transactions between consumers and merchants by authorizing card, Swish, and direct bank payment options. The development team adopts some practices from Kanban methodology, and together with your teammates, you’ll work on the development and maintenance of several applications, with a focus on backend development. There will also be third-line support and close collaboration with third-party providers like Swish. The core application is built in Java (EE) but the ambition is to migrate toward .NET, where you’ll be part of refactoring the legacy code and breaking down significant components into smaller more manageable services. Some of your daily work will be:

Handling business requirements and converting them into technical solutions

Building new features and optimizing old ones with business aspects in mind

Develop APIs for internal applications and the external third-party providers

Shipping the best possible code with the use of unit testing and a test automation approach

Managing the overall structure as well as troubleshooting and fixing eventual problems

Your tools for this journey will be C#, .NET 6, MSSQL, Octopus deploy, TFS, GIT, JUnit, Graylog, NServiceBus. MSSQL, Java 11+, EJB, JBoss, and many more.

About you:

You have worked with the entire product life cycle and managed to pick up solid technical skills and practical business sense along the way. What keeps you going is your genuine interest in simplifying processes using modern technologies and a test automation approach. You’re eager to learn, improve your skills, enjoy handling complex challenges and fixing them as well. On top of that, you have a good sense of humor and are comfortable in your own skin, where you have no problems taking the initiative and sharing your thoughts and ideas with tech and non-tech members. Lastly, you value team efforts over your own, always listen to the people around you, and challenge yourself and others to do better. Things you have obtained along your journey are:

️ Relevant education within computer science or similar or equivalent work experience

️ An excellent track record of experience and knowledge in C#/.NET

️ ️A good foundation in Java and its related technologies

️ Knowledgeable in database management

️ Fluent in English, both speech and writing

Extra points, if you have knowledge in the Fintech or e-commerce industry and experience in one or more of the following areas: business-critical application, software architecture, and its modern approach.... would be a jackpot! 🤩
