Can you engineer a brighter tomorrow?
Volvo Cars are currently moving to in-house development of key software components of the traction battery management system. Traction batteries are complex systems containing hundreds of battery cells which needs to be monitored and controlled. In order to operate the battery in a safe and optimal way, it is important to verify that all measurements are reliable and correct.

What you´ll do
As a Software developer for Traction Battery Software, your task is to implement and maintain functionality for our current and future platforms in an in-house development cross-functional team. Together with your team you will go through, refine and understand the intent of both safety and non-safety software requirements. Your job will be to realize these requirements in software units based on the software architectural design, defined strategies and concepts. You will work with MATLAB Simulink when developing and verifying the software units, and in a HIL-environment on the software level, verifying the units are intact.

Experience of developing safety software and being familiar with system safety concepts is highly meritorious.

Required qualifications:
·         Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer technology or similar
·         At least 3 years of relevant work experience
·         Programming skills in Matlab/Simulink
·         Experience/knowledge about ISO 26262
·         Safety level SW development
·         Experience in requirement handling
·         Ability to coordinate with several teams and actively self-driven    
·         Ability to efficiently plan, coordinate and monitor your work towards set goals
·         European drivers’ licence 

Meritorious qualifications:
·         Traction battery experience
·         Programming skills in C, C++, python
